Privacy Policy
Last updated November 3, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what personal information DS Universe (“we,” “us,” or “the Provider”) collects when you visit dsuniverse.net, create an account on it, buy or download a DS Universe product, use DS Universe software, or contact us, and how that information is used and shared. It should be read together with our Terms of Service (the Terms and Conditions published at dsuniverse.net/terms).
In short: we collect only what we need to run your account, deliver your order, activate a paid license, and answer you. We do not sell personal information, we do not use it for advertising, the website has no analytics or tracking, and our software does not send your charts, trades, or account data to us.
1. Information We Collect
When you create an account on dsuniverse.net. A free account asks for your email address and a password and, if you choose, your first name. Your password is stored only as a one-way scrypt hash: nobody, including us, can read it back. We also record when the account was created.
When you sign in with Whop. If you use “Continue with Whop” or connect Whop to your account, Whop shares your Whop user ID, email address, and name with us. We keep the user ID and the email address to link your Whop account to your DS Universe account. When you open the members area, our server asks Whop whether that Whop user holds an active DS Essentials Vault membership; the answer opens or locks the Essentials Vault on the website and is kept for about a minute.
When you reset your password. We email a single-use link to the address on your account. Only a scrambled (SHA-256) form of the link is stored, and it stops working after 30 minutes.
When you buy or download a product. All DS Universe checkouts, paid and free, including the DS Essentials Vault membership, run on Whop. From your order we receive the details we need to fulfill it, such as the product or membership you obtained, the price and date, your Whop account name and email address, and, for a paid product, your answer to the checkout question that asks for the email address on your NinjaTrader account. Checkouts for products offered at no charge do not ask for it.
Payment details. Payments are processed by Whop and its payment processors. We do not receive or store your full card number or other complete payment credentials.
When you contact us. If you email support@dsuniverse.net or send a question from the website's help panel, we receive your email address and your message and, for the help panel, the page you asked from. Help-panel questions are delivered to our support mailbox and are not stored on the website.
When you visit dsuniverse.net. The website does not use analytics, advertising pixels, or tracking scripts, and it loads no third-party scripts or fonts. It uses only the cookies and browser storage listed in Section 2. Like any website, our hosting provider records standard technical information for each request, such as IP address, browser type, the page requested, and the time of the request, for security and operation of the site. To stop abuse, the website briefly keeps in memory how many recent sign-in attempts an email address has had and how many recent help-panel questions a connection has sent; these counts are never written to disk and are cleared within a day.
2. Cookies and Browser Storage
dsuniverse.net stores only the following on your device. Each one is there because of something you asked for (signing in, or a choice you made on the page). None is used for analytics or advertising, none is set by a third party, and none is shared with anyone. Because nothing else is stored, the website does not show a cookie banner.
- ds_session (cookie). Set when you sign in or create an account, to keep you signed in. It is signed, HttpOnly (scripts on the page cannot read it), and sent only to dsuniverse.net. It lasts until you close your browser, and no longer than a day, unless you tick “Keep me signed in” when you sign in; then it lasts 30 days. Signing out deletes it.
- ds_oauth (cookie). Set only while you use “Continue with Whop” or “Connect Whop,” to protect that sign-in from forgery. It expires after 10 minutes and is deleted when you return from Whop.
- ds-bionic (browser storage). Set only if you switch Typography fixation on or off, to remember your choice.
- The announcement line (browser storage). Set only if you close an announcement line at the top of the page, such as “The Free Vault is back,” to keep it closed.
- ds-help-draft (session storage). Kept while you type in the help panel, so your draft survives a reload. It is cleared when you close the tab.
You can delete any of these at any time in your browser's settings; deleting ds_session signs you out. Whop, NinjaTrader, and the other sites we link to set their own cookies on their own sites, under their own policies (Section 6).
3. Information Our Software Does Not Collect
DS Universe products run inside NinjaTrader on your own computer, on your own data. They do not send your chart data, orders, trades, account balances, positions, or any personal information to DS Universe.
Some products connect to third-party services to do their job:
- License verification (paid products). NinjaTrader checks whether your NinjaTrader account holds a license for a product through its own vendor licensing system, under NinjaTrader's terms and privacy policy. Products offered at no charge make no license check.
- DS GEX downloads publicly available, delayed options data directly from Cboe's public data servers. The request names the symbol being charted and, like any web request, is seen by Cboe together with your IP address. No information about you, your account, or your trading is included.
- DS Bulk Replay Downloader requests Market Replay data from NinjaTrader's own servers through the NinjaTrader platform, in the same way NinjaTrader does when you download replay data yourself.
Some products save settings, log files, alert sounds, or diagnostic reports in your NinjaTrader user folder on your computer. These files stay on your computer and reach us only if you choose to send them to support.
4. How We Use Information
- To run your dsuniverse.net account: to sign you in, to show the vaults your account opens, and to send the password-reset emails you ask for;
- To deliver the products you obtain and to confirm your order;
- To activate a paid license: we enter the NinjaTrader account email you gave at checkout into NinjaTrader's vendor licensing system, which links the license to that NinjaTrader account;
- To answer your questions and provide support, including fixing a mistyped or changed NinjaTrader email;
- To know when a new account is created: our own support mailbox receives a short notice with the new account's email address and name;
- To keep records required for accounting, tax, and legal purposes, and to prevent fraud and enforce our Terms of Service.
We do not use your information for advertising, and we make no automated decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on you.
5. How We Share Information
We share personal information only as follows:
- NinjaTrader — your NinjaTrader account email, entered into NinjaTrader's vendor licensing system to issue a paid license.
- Whop and its payment processors — which operate the checkout, the DS Essentials Vault membership, and “Continue with Whop” under their own terms and privacy policies. To check your membership, we send Whop the Whop user ID linked to your account.
- Service providers — our website host, which stores the website's account records, and our email provider, which carries its emails, only as needed to run those services.
- Legal requirements — when required by law, court order, or legal process, or when needed to protect our rights or the safety of others.
We do not sell or rent personal information, and we do not share it for targeted advertising.
6. Links and Third-Party Sites
Our website links to other sites, including Whop, NinjaTrader, and Kinetick. Some links to NinjaTrader are referral links that pass through a third-party referral-tracking service. Once you follow a link, the other site's own terms and privacy policy apply, including any cookies it sets.
7. Data Retention
We keep your dsuniverse.net account until you ask us to delete it. Password-reset links expire after 30 minutes. We keep order and license records for as long as your license is active and afterward for as long as needed for accounting, tax, and legal purposes. We keep support emails for as long as they are useful to help you or as required by law.
8. Your Choices and Rights
You may ask us to tell you what personal information we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it, including your dsuniverse.net account, by emailing support@dsuniverse.net from the address connected to your account or order. We will respond within a reasonable time. We may keep records we are required to keep by law. Because a license is linked to a NinjaTrader account email, deleting that record ends our ability to maintain or restore your license.
We do not sell personal information or share it for targeted advertising, so there is nothing to opt out of, and a Global Privacy Control signal from your browser is respected as a matter of course. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local law. We will honor those rights as the law requires.
9. Security
We use reasonable measures to protect the personal information we hold: the website is served only over HTTPS, passwords are stored as scrypt hashes, sessions are signed and HttpOnly, and sign-in and help-panel attempts are rate-limited. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Children
DS Universe products and the website are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
11. International Users
DS Universe is operated from New York, United States. If you use the website or obtain our products from outside the United States, your information will be processed in the United States.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date above reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will also be posted on dsuniverse.net.
